Paul has been a pioneer in ushering in a new era of architecture into the US by developing a very successful business branch at Structurflex called FlexFacades (aka: textile, fabric, flexible or bioclimatic facades). FlexFacades provides an economical shading or screening system on a facade of a building or parking garage using exterior grade tensile mesh, membrane or clear foil/film. These various tensile materials are framed and tensioned by a specialized aluminum extrusion system either surface mounted or incorporated structural steel standoffs and embeds. Tensile facades are all over Europe; Paul and his team have taken these tried and true specialized facade systems and have adapted them into the US market.
Paul educates architects, designers, engineers, contractors, facility managers and building owners in developing unique economical solutions; providing design assistance/concept development, detailing, preliminary engineering (analysis, steel sizing, modeling), performance specifications and estimating (budgetary pricing / bid proposals).
