Kiku Crossing is a new-construction, 100% affordable housing development in San Mateo, California, developed by non-profit developer MidPen Housing. Built on what was originally two parking lots, Kiku Crossing includes a five-story public parking garage with 525 public spaces and 164 private spaces.

Our turnkey facade cladding solution for the public parking garage created a suitable space for commissioned public art by artist Harumo Sato.

Working directly with the artist, we provided design-assist to achieve the desired look. We provided engineering services as well as fabrication, using custom applied graphics of Sato’s artwork on a 4,200 square-foot surface area of Type 1a PES fabric.
