The design of the tensile facade for this 30,000 square-foot parking garage on the Workday Corporate Campus specifically addresses airflow requirements, aesthetics, and project costs. FlexFacades was brought in by the project architect early in the design process to create a tensile fabric solution that was more cost-effective than metal mesh. To create visual interest and a profile that could easily be seen from the adjacent I-580 freeway, we designed, engineered, fabricated, and installed FlexFacades custom fabric fin panels mounted on a system of lightweight, structural steel and cables. In addition to maximizing airflow and minimizing solar glare and heat, the FlexFacades solution also contributed toward the overall LEED project goals.

The enterprise cloud company officially opened its voluminous 410,000-square-foot headquarters last month, bringing along approximately 350 employees. But by August, the new building will have roughly 2,200 employees scattered amid its six floors. Workday is leasing the land for its newly built headquarters from the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) and is just a short walk from the West Dublin/Pleasanton BART station.
